![]() Hey everybody, I hope you had a great week. My week started off absolutely amazing because of a two-day school cancellation due to the snow! School was back in session with full days Wednesday & Thursday, but on Friday we had a half-day which happened to kick off the Christmas Vacation...so all-in-all...life is pretty darn good right about now!!! LOL Of course you know I couldn't close out my December without sharing helpful information that relates to active student learning during the Winter holiday; and of course this learning is centered around math. With the Christmas Holiday upon us, children across the country are looking forward to a break from school. This is that time of year when friends and family get together to celebrate the blessing of Christmas and the hope for a prosperous New Year. One way to bring laughter and good family fun into your home is through playing board games! On this week's Intentional Instruction podcast, I'll be sharing the types of games that encourage mathematical thinking, and the awesome thing about it is that higher level thinking through the use of board games span across all ages. Under this week's Intentional Toolkit I included the link to my podcast as well as the link to a couple of articles that talk about the value of playing board games. And as always, I hope you find these resources useful. Friends as we count down to the Christmas Holiday and prepare to ring in a New Year, I want to wish each and everyone of you a wonderful holiday season! Until next time, go out there and be GREAT!
