I don't know about you, but in my school district, October is also when quarter 1 ends and quarter 2 begins. Now this first quarter has definitely not gone without its challenges. In fact, one of the challenges that has kept many school district leaders across the country on high alert have been threats of violence being made on social media. With the help of Law Enforcement, and campus security, many of those individuals have been caught and are being held accountable. So just how safe are our schools? On the Intentional Instruction Podcast, I'm joined by Dr. Leon Hite III, Director of Safety and Security for his school district. Dr. Hite discusses this important topic as well as strategies for creating a safe school environment for students and staff. Click here to listen to the episode.
Check out the resources that I've included under the Intentional Toolkit; they're relevant to this post and the podcast episode. As always, I hope you find these resources useful.
